Why this page exists
Letting a stranger into your home is the whole problem

Every marketplace of this kind asks you to do something uncomfortable: give an address to someone you have never met, and let them in. Everything below exists to make that decision a reasonable one rather than a leap of faith.

We publish the process in detail because a claim of “verified providers” means nothing unless you can see what verification actually consists of.

Before a provider takes a single job
The verification process
01
Identity

A national ID or passport plus a live photograph. The document is checked against national records and the photograph against the document. Anyone whose identity cannot be established does not proceed.

02
Certification

For electrical, plumbing, gas and any category where competence is a safety matter, trade certification is required and verified with the issuing body. Expired papers mean suspended categories.

03
References

Two prior clients or employers are contacted directly and asked about the quality of the work and the conduct of the person. We call them; we do not simply collect names.

04
Interview

A short onboarding conversation covering platform standards, customer conduct, pricing honesty and what happens when something goes wrong.

05
Rating floor

Verification is not a one-time gate. Providers must hold a minimum rating across completed jobs. Fall below it and requests stop arriving until the issue is resolved.

06
Re-checks

Documents are re-validated periodically, and any serious report triggers an immediate review regardless of how long a provider has been active.

On the day
Confirming who is at your gate

Before a provider arrives, the app shows you their photograph, their name, their rating and their vehicle details where relevant. When they reach you, the person and the profile should match.

  • Check the photograph in the app against the person at the door
  • Ask to see their Jobika provider ID — every verified pro carries one
  • Confirm the job reference shown on their app matches yours
  • If anything does not match, do not admit them. Cancel and report from the app
  • Never pay in cash outside the app, however the request is framed
A genuine Jobika provider will never ask you to cancel the in-app job and pay them directly. That request is itself the warning sign, and reporting it protects the next customer as much as you.
Your details
What providers can and cannot see
  • Your exact address is released only after you confirm a booking
  • Calls route through a masked number — your phone number is never shown
  • In-app messaging is retained as part of the job record
  • Payment details are never visible to a provider at any point
  • Access is revoked when the job closes
Money
Payment security
  • Quoted first. No work begins until you have accepted a written quote in the app.
  • Held in escrow. The accepted amount is charged and held. The provider cannot draw it and neither can we redirect it.
  • Released on confirmation. Funds move only when you confirm the job is complete.
  • Revisions are explicit. Extra work requires a revised quote you approve. Nothing is added silently.
  • Frozen on dispute. Raising a dispute within 48 hours holds the payment while support reviews the record.
  • Receipted. Every job produces an emailed receipt and a permanent entry in your history.
Reporting and support

Every job screen carries a report action. Use it for anything from a provider who did not arrive to conduct that concerned you.

  • Serious reports are escalated the same day
  • Providers can be suspended pending investigation
  • Both parties are heard before any decision
  • Outcomes are communicated to the person who reported

The record
Everything is written down

Every job you book creates a permanent record: who attended, what was requested, what was quoted, what was actually done, what you paid, and what you rated them. It sits in your service history and does not expire.

That record is what makes disputes resolvable, warranties enforceable, and repeat bookings simple. It is also what makes a provider’s rating meaningful — every star is attached to a real, completed, paid job that both parties can point to.
