Jobika started with an ordinary frustration. Finding someone competent to fix a tap, service a car or clean a house meant asking around, taking a stranger’s word for a stranger’s ability, and discovering the price only once the work was done.

Meanwhile, thousands of skilled tradespeople across the country were sitting idle — not because there was no demand, but because there was no reliable way for demand to find them. Reputation lived in the heads of a handful of neighbours and travelled no further.

Jobika is the layer that connects the two. Verified identity so customers know who is coming. Ratings from completed jobs so good work compounds. Prices agreed before work begins so nobody is negotiating from a position of weakness. And payment held securely until both sides agree the job is done.

To make hiring a skilled professional in Kenya as ordinary and as safe as buying anything else — and in doing so, to turn scattered, invisible skill into steady, dignified income.

How we work
Our principles
Verify, then trust

Trust is not a slogan we print, it is a process we run. Every provider passes the same gates, and we publish what those gates are.

Price before work

The single largest source of conflict in this trade is a number revealed at the end. We removed it from the flow entirely.

Pay people promptly

Providers are paid within 24 hours of a completed job. Slow payment is how good tradespeople get pushed out of formal work.

Record everything

Every job leaves a record both sides can point to. Disputes stop being one word against another.

Grow where we can serve

We open a city when there are enough verified providers to answer requests, not when the map looks better with a pin in it.

Build for real phones

Modest handsets, modest data. If the app only works on a flagship, it does not work.
