If life or property is in immediate danger, call 999 or 112 first

Jobika dispatches tradespeople, not emergency services. Call the police, fire or ambulance service first, then request a provider for the repair.

Priority dispatch
When it cannot wait until morning

A standard Jobika request goes to the providers nearest you. A priority request goes to every qualified provider in range simultaneously, day or night, and the first to accept is dispatched with live tracking.

Out-of-hours and priority call-outs carry a premium. It is shown in the quote before you accept, so you always see the number before you commit — even at three in the morning.

How priority works
  • Toggle priority when creating the request
  • Broadcast to all qualified providers in range
  • First acceptance wins the job
  • Live tracking from dispatch to your gate
  • Premium disclosed in the quote, before you accept
What we dispatch for
Emergency categories
Emergency plumbing

Burst pipes, flooding, blocked drains backing up, water heaters failing, mains leaks. The category where minutes translate directly into damage.

Electrical faults

Total power loss, repeatedly tripping boards, burning smells from sockets or boards, exposed live wiring after a storm.

Towing & recovery

Breakdowns on the highway, accident recovery, vehicles stuck off-road after rain, non-runners needing transport to a garage.

Lockouts

Locked out of a house, an office or a vehicle. Verified locksmiths who open without destroying the door.

Storm damage

Roof leaks, fallen branches on structures, water ingress and the immediate make-safe work that stops it getting worse.

Vehicle roadside

Flat batteries, punctures with no usable spare, and the roadside faults that leave you stationary somewhere unhelpful.

While you wait
Make it safe first
  • Water. Close the mains stopcock before anything else. Every minute of flow is damage.
  • Electrical. Switch off at the distribution board. Do not investigate a burning smell with the power on.
  • Gas. Close the cylinder valve, open windows, and do not operate switches or flames.
  • Vehicles. Get clear of the carriageway, hazards on, triangle out well behind you.
  • Documentation. Photograph the damage before anything is moved or repaired.
Cost
What an emergency call-out costs

Emergency work is priced higher than scheduled work, because someone is leaving their house at an hour they would rather not. What does not change is that you see the number before you accept.

No Jobika provider is permitted to begin emergency work and quote afterwards. If one attempts to, decline and report it from the app.
